lessons of love

Recently I came accross a situation in my life where I felt a lot of pain...dealing with the heart..

Thru my research for answers I came accross a something online...

Lessons of Love
A ninety-one year old woman died after living a long dignified life. When she met God she asked him something that had long bothered her. If humans were created in God's image, and if all are created equal, why do people treat each other so badly?
God replied that each person who enters our life has a unique lesson to teach us. And it is only through these lessons that we learn about life, people, relationships and God. This confused the woman, so God began to explain.
When someone lies to you it teaches you that things are not always as they seem. The truth is often far beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks people wear if you want to know their heart. And remove your own masks to let people know yours.
When someone steals from you it teaches you that nothing is forever. Always appreciate what you have, for you never know when you might lose it. And never, ever take your friends and family for granted because today is the only guarantee you have.
When someone inflicts an injury upon you it teaches you that the human state is a fragile one. Protect and take care of your body as best you can, it's the only thing you are sure to have forever.
When someone mocks you it teaches you that no two people are alike. When you encounter people who are different from you, don't judge them by how they look or act; instead base your opinion on the contents of their heart.
When someone breaks your heart it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that person will love you back. But don't turn your back on love because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings will make up for all the past hurts put together. Times ten.
When someone holds a grudge against you it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes. When you are wronged, the most virtuous thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense. Forgiving those who have hurt us is the most difficult and courageous thing Man can do.
When a loved one is unfaithful to you it teaches you that resisting temptation is Man's greatest challenge. Be vigilant in your resistance against all temptation. By doing so you will be rewarded with an enduring sense of satisfaction far greater than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted.
When someone cheats you, it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil. Aspire to make your dreams come true, no matter how lofty they may be. Do not feel guilty about your success, but never let an obsession with achieving your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities.
When someone ridicules you it teaches you that nobody is perfect. Accept people for their merits and be tolerant of their flaws. Do not ever reject someone for imperfections over which they have no control.
Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom, the old woman became concerned that there were no lessons to be learned from Man's good deeds.
God replied that Man's capacity to love is the greatest gift he has. At the root of all kindness is love, and each act of love also teaches us a lesson.
The woman's curiosity deepening, God once again began to explain.
When someone loves us it teaches us that love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness and acceptance can counteract all the evil in the world. For every good deed, there is one less evil deed. Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused.
When you enter someone's life, whether by plan, chance or coincidence, consider what your lesson will be. Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality? When you die will your life have resulted in more loving or hurting? More comfort or pain? More joy or sadness? Each one of us has power over the balance of love in the world. Use it wisely.
Don't miss an opportunity to nudge the world's scale in the right direction. Pass this lesson of love on to those you love and to those you have hurt.
For each person who receives this, there will be a little less evil in the world and a little more love.

Unexpected Circumstances

Hmmm....
I came across a interesting situation where I was given the opportunity to practice patience.
Unfortunately, I reacted with emotion rather than common sense.
How is it that there are situations that show up over night...and while we supposedly can be calm and collective...for a brief moment we react based on feelings...and that can be dangerous and down right ignorant sometimes...So, what is the best medicine to deal with unexpected circumstances that create a negative feeling ourselves and our surroundings???

So far, the only answer I have gotten is silence and time with good friends..and just give yourself a 24hour window...at that point you can re-evaluate the situation, and go from there...

Anatomy Of A Flower
Being Part Of The Whole
As with all living things, a flower's intention is procreation. All the various parts of a flower work together toward this purpose, and each plays an essential role in the process. The vivid, delicate petals attract pollinators (birds and bees) who aid in the transfer of pollen. The center is the source and inspiration for the visually stunning petals and the petals, in turn, attract what the flower needs to create seeds and multiply.

When you have an opportunity to serve something larger than your individual self, you are like a petal on a flower, offering your particular brand of beauty and charisma in the service of a centralizing force. This centralizing force might be a person with a higher vision, a community with a common goal, or a spiritual path. Contemplate the ways in which you are a petal on a flower in your life. Who or what is at the center? What core values are you serving?

Consider also any situations in which you are the center of the flower, offering the nourishing seeds of an idea or quality that others are willing to gather around and perpetuate. It takes confidence and vision to be the nucleus. It also takes humility to empower the "petals" around you helping to feed your vision and enabling it to grow beyond you.

Like the parts of a flower, we are all here working together to create and be creative. Whether we are the center or the petal, it helps to be conscious of the seeds we are sowing in the world, as this is how we create the future.

In essence, we are all petals radiating outward from the unified source of energy that is life. Our time on this earthly plane is finite and fragile, and yet we branch out from our invisible source vibrantly and powerfully, attracting energy and making fertile connections that contribute to the continuation of life itself.

Mistakes

Lately I have been thinking about mistakes. As human beings it seems like we make them A LOT...But, are they really mistakes...What would life be with out them? How else can we learn NOT to create the same mistakes, and how else can we grow as individuals?

So are mistake really mistakes ? or just experiences that take us to different levels of understanding who we are?

Getting Answers.....

We come across many people in our daily lives. Sometimes, we don't even realize that the people that we meet whether it be for a short period of time or long period of time...can help us find answers to questions that we have been asking ourselves for years...

Recently, I was trying to figure out what to do about a situation...and over night I received an answer that came in the form of a friend....

Sometimes..we lament...and procrastinate...and hope and wish that answers are given to us but what we don't realize is that answers are given to us daily....we just need to follow our instincts and open our minds to the possibility. Once we can do this...All the answers will be clear...

So, have you had a question that you have wanted answered?
Today, pay attention to all the little things, and people...even a bird flying in the sky may be able to trigger a thought that will provide with the answers...that you already know.

Please share your answers to how you listen to yourself and the inner voice that exist in all of us.

Going with the flow....

How can we understand when we are in love?
More importantly how do we realize it before we no longer have the opportunity..

I have always been a firm believer in "Going with the flow" of life...
Listening to my inner instincts while also practicing common sense...

But, lately I have had a couple of occurrences where I am left wondering...
Will I know when I am in love? Or will I just be so involved in finding soul...that I lose the chance to meet that perfect someone...if there is such a person...

So I ask you!
How often has "Going with the flow" and following your heart...provided you with the answers you seeked...??

What does happiness mean to you?

What does happiness mean?
Being happy is understanding that life is not so complicated.
The test we face daily are merely experiences to help us
reach our individual goals.
If we try to connect happiness to objects or people, we may ultimately
create the opposite feelings.
So just be, learn, exist and have fun!

So, what does happiness mean to you????
